I'll be a week or so behind you... to say "getting impatient" would be not even close to correct. Good luck sir, maybe if I have some epic weeks I'll see ya out there.
I'm leaving Friday.....a very GOOD Friday. But I doubt that I will see you. Have fun!
Heading out Friday too! But getting off at Dick's Creek. Maybe I'll see you Choo Choo!
Getting there on the 4th ,on trail on the 5th

I hit the road leavin Virginia on Friday and will put my first foot down for that very first step on Apil 8, so stoked its so hard to even bring it all into perspective when I am here on the sailboat byding my time relaxing getting this adventure.

Derek, are you hiking the starter trail ? I will be a day behind you if so. Maybe our paths will parrallel at some point. I am stoked as well !! this is my first thru-hike !
