I purchased a Crestone II backpack almost 19 years ago from Mountainsmith and two fittings finally gave out. Involved some major stitching and replacement rings. I sent it back to see what they could do. Now mind you, this pack has seen some hard life. It came back yesterday, no charge for the repair and cleaner than it went out. On top of that, they sent me a code for 25% off of any Mountainsmith online purchase. Super customer service and a quick turn around also.

They're customer service is great. I've sent back a pack for repairs. Not only was it free of charge, but they sent a loaner pack as well.

I too have great service from them.
They repaired my pack for free and quickly.
Of course the failure was caused by what I consider a design flaw, but that's a whole different issue.

woah this is good to know. might send mine in to get fixed. have a mountainsmith with a broken buckle. but my duct tape/paperclip temporary on the trail fix has been holding up fine for the last 6 yrs
