Leaving in the morning....the Northeast is as dry as dust. How is the water in Virginia around Roanoke??? tenlots
Been crazy rain south of Roanoke where I am. Water everywhere.
North I think it's been dry enough that there's been fires. Not really sure.
What section are you doing?
I'm glad there has been rain somewhere. We've had wildfires here in Connecticut, and even my garden is bone dry.

Just hiked from Buck Mountain Road to Dennis Cove last weekend and water sources were flowing nicely.
Rain today-gone soon. According to the weather department the entire Appalachain Trail is under some sort of drought conditions right now and this year is stacking up to be very dry. I will be lugging extra water bottles for my trip to Pa/Nj/Ny this Summer. Granted that recent rains have filled creeks and springs all along the trail. They predict that it won't last.
