Help!!! Finding a pack

I have never been backpacking, but i have been car camping on several occasions. I am lost as to what pack i would need to buy for weekend to week long trips i am fourteen and i am about 5'5, and not very large just some suggestions on a pack? what brand and size?

Since this is your first time backpacking, you may want to read these articles...it offers good insight on what to expect and some guidance towards gear purchases IMO. The article focuses on scouts but can be adapted to just about anyone who is getting into backpacking.
