Although top-mounted canister stoves (and lanterns) have become very popular, they're not perfect. One of their principal weaknesses is poor stability when used on uneven surfaces, an issue that often limits safe placement options in camp.
Two new articles address the problem: One is a review of three solutions (two commercial and one do-it-yourself). The other includes the actual build instructions for "Super Legs", a great new do-it-yourself project.
