Thinking about a short hike over Roan Highlands from Carvers gap to 19E in a few weeks. Does mid June look like a good time for the rhodendendrons over Roan Mountain this year. I believe that is the usual time for them. It has been so warm down here in Alabama this year that every thing appears to be approximately 2 to 3 weeks earlier than usual. Thanks.
