Anyone had experience with this (http://www.amazon.com/Lifesaver-Bottle-4000-Ultra-Filtration/dp/B001EHF99A) ?

I was checking this out on Amazon and while several reviewers seemed to have leakage problems, etc., there were many that had outstanding results with this filter. I then happen to see that at least 5 of these "outstanding reviewers" had only reviewed THIS product. To me, that usually flashes "Company P.R. Dept," rather than an authentic review. If you eliminate these reviews, product doesn't bode too well in my opinion...

I called the maker to ask about freezing. It supposedly won't break, but won't work frozen either. No guarantees on that, too. At least a human answered the phone. I'll pass, for now.

The SAWYER 3 in 1 in-line is the best bet. Hooks right into your hydration bladder. There is also an adapter for other water containers

I just purchased the Sawyer squeeze system, lightweight, simple.............got a case of giardia last fall, MSR filter failed on last hike, drank untreated water for 8 days, no problems............will try this on my next hike and will report back to WB, aqua mira is fine but waiting 30 minutes is an issue, try to get to water supplies empty or near empty............

I just ordered one too. 0.1 micron filter one mil gal life. Can be back washed. I'm going to run out and try it on a spring that comes from a cow field run off mix. I will try to post results.
