Hey guys, I am starting a 1 month hike from springer to Hot springs and I would like ideas on where to park/store my Tahoe for that time. Also what town is closest to springer mountain, is it Elijay? Thanks

Park at Amicalola?

That was my thought as well. I think there's a long term lot in the State Park.

Park at Amicalola SP; you can park up to 6 months for the cost of one entry fee, which I think is $5. Yes, Ellijay is the closest town to Springer, but if you park at ASP just hike the 8 mile Approach Trail to Springer.

Thanks, I wasnt sure how long you could leave a car there at Amicacola. How safe do you think it is? Thanks for the replys

I'd have absolutely no worries leaving my car there for a month. A few people have parked there and started and completed their thru hike.

The park is safe, I've left my truck there for up to 2 weeks. You can also leave your car at the Hiker Hostel, and they can help with shuttles.

Amicalola is the safest park I've ever been to, they have a park poliece officer there nightly

Thanks for the replies, thats what I will do, park at Amicacola. I have done the approach already so I will try to get a ride to Springer. Thanks again.
