Status of water source at Locust Grove Gap near Cheoh Bald

I will be hiking this section this weekend leaving NOC going over Cheoh Bald down to Locust Grove Gap and I read the spring there is unreliable. Anyone been thru there lately?

I meant Locust Cove Gap, is Friday here yet?

Stayed there on the night of 5MAY. Good, reliable water source on the western side of the trail, down the hill.

Oh, also...The morning I was there 2 bears came running down the hill to the south of the camp site, saw me and a buddy, then ran off.
