Does anybody have any suggestions for some type of tape or anything else that I can put on the handles of a TI pot to keep from burning my fingers when it's hot? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks in advance!

Have you tried fiberglass tape? Fiberglass tape is used on homemade DIY beer can pots (http://blog.makezine.com/2011/01/23/how-to-ultralight-camp-pot-from-hei/) to insulate the sides of the beer can. I understand fiberglass tape is sold in hardware stores for use with drywall.

Silicone tape, I didn't think of that, I may get some and give it a shot. Thanks!

I as always go out on a limb and cut it.... get a very small super uber light tech with pliers? and pick your pot.

if you can take off handle slip electrical heat shrink tubing over it and heat it.

Wrap the handles with electrical wire. Until you come up with a permanent solution this is a cheap & quick fix.

Interesting, I'm gonna give this a shot, what do you heat it with to seal it to the handles, a hair dryer?

After looking at the pot, I don't think I will be able to remove the handles. Here's the pot in question.

does the heat shrink tubing provide that much heat insulation?
