Just what ever long distance hiker needs. 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar. Of course you can't gulp it sown in NYC with a bucket of soda.

BACON: noun: The main reason you will never be a vegetarian.

I heard this story on the radio today and stopped by a Sonic and ordered a hot fudge sundae and asked that they add a slice of bacon to it. A manager actually came out to my car to tell me that they would give me the bacon on the side in a separate container but that they couldn't put it in my sundae. I didn't ask why. When it came I crumbled it up and sprinkled it on top. I've had chocolate covered bacon before so I knew what I was getting into with this combination...surprised nobody has done it before.

Has anyone tried this yet? I was at a BK yesterday, but couldn't bring myself to try it.

I've had it twice already. It was amazing, and yet very odd. The flavors of the ice cream and toppings (chocolate, Carmel) stay together as one, and the bacon is its own flavor that doesn't meld with the ice cream. It goes well together, but not what I expected. If I didn't have to pump 5 smeggin' units of insulin in me every time I'd eat it, I would eat one a day!

I can't help imagining a bet between two burger king execs with very low opinions of consumers. Looks like the the pessimist IS a realist...and a little richer.
