Are you talking about two bags to allow a couple to "couple" or an outer bag to extend a lightweight bag's temperature range?

Neo,
my wife and I just tried the moonstone lucid 800 bags. The long bag zips on the left, the reg. zips on the right. They zip together and we had a great night.

For ultralight, get one bag that fits two people. Maybe a custom Feathered Friends or do-it-yourself?

I have the Campmor down rectangular 20 degree and 0 degree bags. They zip together and allow some flexiblity with which one you put on top. Plus, they do provide plenty of room.

WM Highlite Left and Right zipper mate. Although, many places say they don't, I have down it several times with my wife. They weigh 16 oz for the regular size, and are rated for 35F. I have been down to 20F and was still toasty warm. I am a bit of a warm sleeper though. I love this bag.

Congratulations.

My wife and I have the WM Ultralite opposite zips... they zip together but the "foot box" is still a little wierd.

for finishing our thru in the summer months in maine, we just used a down bag as a quilt and a lightweight fleece liner underneath.
