Silicone Treatment-Sil Nylon Tents

In my ever ending quest to try to improve the water repellency of my gear. I used a silicone treatment for my Tarp Tent Contrail and my 6 Moons Wild Oasis. I put on two heavy coats and a light coat inside and dried for three days. I hope this works??????
