Hoping to be hiking the GA section of the AT next week and wanted to know if any one who has just hike this section has any feed back on water on the trail.. springs flowing, dry ect ?
Not Georgia, but close - I hiked the Standing Indian loop last week, and water was plentiful.

I backpacked parts of it the past few weekends, and water was abundant. Unfortunately, so were the bears... lots of sightings by myself and others I met, at various places. People leave so much trash at the campsites around here :(
Water here is flowing at all the shelters--some of the secondary sources are flowing at times and not others .It depends on the rain. Be sure if you walk from Hawk to Justis Creek to take some extra water ,there is none on that stretch.
Also ,I just remembered that at Woods Hole ,you had to go up to the big boulder to find water because it went back underground. It may be dry without rain.
