What a great idea. Seems like it would be short lived as a ground cloth though... might have to pick some up and do an experiment.

I have the 'blue tarp' ground cloth that I use with my tent to keep the pack out of the dirt under the vestibule... might stop by Home Depot while I am out running today to see what I can find.

For a ground cloth would be the space sheet that the Boy Scouts buy... kids....

Do you have a link? "Space sheet' comes up with weirdness that does not look like a ground cover to me. :)

Ok, Yes, I have one in the trunk of my car... I can not imagine what I would ever use it for. :rolleyes:

I have used it - below 40 degrees - noisy and condenses body water,,,, - dump it for a down bag -- they occupy a slight larger space and avoid duplication. - since full hammock gear - no need.
