Anyone who has thru hiked and has advice about tents, plese help me out... I personally love tents more than shelters, and plan to stay in them on my hike in '06... (as long as it's not pouring,etc.) I'm looking into a sierra designs solomente ast (I also plan to use it for tougher winter hiking, so it'll be a good investment), the weight seems great for a 4season tent... 3lb2oz... for one person some people may see it as a lot, but I value my privacy and the comfort of a good tent...
