Hey Papa did you get any good pics. - Hand that bottle over here please.

I didn't take a camera per se - just my i-phone - I need to make a late new year's resolution to start taking more photos - - you know, way back when I shot film, I paid more attention to photos - - now, I have gads of un--published digital stuff. To put a photo on here, I have to e-mail it to myself from my i-phone, etc. but I'll try. I did see a bunch of bear cub tracks between Sassafras Gap and Brown Fork but no bears - - did see a great Owl though - he was huge - early morning yesterday about 5:30 while finishing my coffee and 4 pop-tarts (2 cinnamon, 2 chocolate chip - - you know what a health nut I am) - when I finally saw where he was, he left and flew off but I followed him for about 45 minutes as the sun came up over the snowy woods - - I love being out in the woods in the snow when it's cold super early in the morning when no-one is up - - it's like being part of a great secret

We use short word written on tickets from the dining room (Handwritten or Computer). Only so much space on thermal receipt paper so we don't use big words. We do know curse words in multiple languages which is very important in todays multi-cultural envioronment.huh?.... What????

Gotcha. With regards to starting a thru hike without sufficient funds, I think one of our fellow members put it best a while back when they said "$1,000 might not be enough for a thru hike, but it's guaranteed to buy you $1,000 worth of hiking."
