Can anyone tell me where water is on Whitetop? Went through SOBO on a hot day...ended up hitching down.

I assume you mean in VA. The AT doesn't quite go over the summit, but there is an awesome piped spring just below the road and barely below the trail. It is pretty well marked and in an open, grassy area. It is slightly less than powerful than a firehose. Good stuff.
