Where did you spend your first 0 day?
my 1st (and 2nd) gatlinburg. kinda on the late side. most of my friends zeroed in hiawasse or fran

My first zero was at Gooch Mtn Shelter, started from Amicalola. All my stuff got soaked from the rain, slept in a mud puddle that night, one of my freakin' coldest miserable nights on the trail. I started a fire the next day and dried everything out. I know one guy that called it quits, he took the shortcut into Suches.

hot springs. we wouldnt have stopped then, but our folks came in to town to see us.

Many hikers first zero was in Hiawassee....for Little Bear and I it was too, time for resupply, reconfigure gear, and have some rest and relaxation.

Where did you spend your first 0 day?
Started Mar 22, first zero was at Kincora. Double nero'd into/out of Hot Springs.
When i thru'ed in 06 my First zero was at "Standing Bear Farm Hostel" i took 1.5 days their, leaving out about 11:00 on the second day, Then this year my first zero was in Hot Springs i took two days at Elmer's ( Sunny Bank Inn ) RED-DOG

My first was at Rainbow Springs (Franklin).
Some will zero at Blood Mtn Cabins or Mountain Crossings.
I bet that most hikers first zero is in Hiawassee.
Hiawasee Ga. got there saturday afternoon, Sunday was Easter.
