Has any worn the Nike DF with the sewn in liner. They seem to be fairly light weight, and cut out the need for underwear.

I have two pair of the Nike 5" race day shorts but I cut the liner out. I would rather wear underwear that is changable so I can rinse and let dry everyday. The Nike DF 10" shorts have too much material for my liking. BTW I got my shorts at Beals outet for about $10 each. I think they list for something like $40.

I like the Nike dri fit socks for "basketball" for hiking. They dry super fast and are really comfortable.

I haven't worn DriFit shorts for hiking, but I do wear them for intense workouts. I actually prefer Adidas CoolCool and ClimaLite gear, as I find that DriFit tends to get very wet and sticky whereas the Adidas products do not feel quite as soaked. They both dry very quickly.

I do walk in hiking shorts with a liner. I prefer that over separate underwear and find that the mesh liners are easier to wash/rinse/dry, plus they don't tend to bunch up or rub as I've found with various types of wicking underwear.

I prefer hiking shorts with a liner. You defineltly don't need no stinkin' underwear.

Used them, like them, but have switched to the Road Runner Sports version since they fit me just a bit better plus ordering from RRS is super easy.

Kilts the way to go when hiking. Just have to watch how you sit if going comando.

I used the lastyear for a section. Can you say "chafe"? With compression shorts, however, they were great.
