I recall when 5 lots, about 29 achers, were purchaesed in my neighborhood, Appalachian Estates, to protect the AT crossing at "Dicks Dome", North of Linden, VA.. My friend John Damron said he didn't get what they were worth, but he was glad to sell them to complete a sellout of the Subdivision.
