Michael "Mish" Popov was very well known speed hiker and ultra runner. He set the record for the JMT among other feats.
I can't say I knew Michael Popov very well but we did have some e-mail correspondence. Those who did know him spoke highly of him, his integrity and just being an all around nice person.
Despite how anyone feels about how the person passed on, please be respectful of his friends and family who very well monitor this forum. Thanks...
