Thought is was going to be just another fluff piece when I saw the article title:Appy Trail's next 75 years: 'There's a need for constant vigilance'
Please don't let Appy Trail become a part of our vocabulary.
;)
Any how, it's a good article.
A recent positive development for the AT was the U.S. Forest Service's acquisition of the 10,000-acre Rocky Fork tract in northeastern Tennessee. The land deal not only protects a large chunk of the trail's views through Unicoi County, it also will enable trail crews to reroute about three miles of the AT through Rocky Fork, which is now public land.
