Thank you again Whiteblaze for all the information you provide, while sometimes difficult to sift through the negativity, this is a valuable resource. Some of the articles and forum information were instrumental to getting me on the trail and to the end. Thank you again to everyone who allows this site to run, will definitely be donating when I get home.

Congratulations MFrenchy!!!

Dont forget, the negativity on this site only exists because we are all frustrated that we're not out hiking right now! :D

Those of us going in 2013 have plenty of interest in thoughts of those who did it in 2012!
Congrats!

MFrenchy - nice post. If you learned from those who went before you, you should return the favor for those who have yet to come. It's what makes this site worthwhile.....despite the sometimes negative tone.

congrats man, did you stick through with the minimalist footwear?!

I did and I was thrilled with them. Not a single blister the whole trail. I had issues with the sole delaminating from the leather at the toe. On my second and third pair I was proactive with gluing to prevent it from coming apart.

I am pretty sure I remember our encounter, were you hiking the long trail? I have returned to the horses, I am a little rusty after not riding for 6 months, but it'll come back I'm sure. How was your trip?
