This may be common knowledge but I just found it out last night and thought I would pass it along.
If you go into Google maps once you have a location picked out you can click the "more" button and then select "send." After that you have some options of where to send it to with one of them being GPS. After I selected GPS I was able to copy that to my Garmin Nuvi and it saved it as a favorite.
For us section hikers who are trying to drive into remote areas this can be pretty useful.
