I guess the issue of alcohol consumptive on and off the trail while thru hiking must be a hot issue, because after 249 posts and 13 pages it was closed.
There wasn't rants, no swearing, people just discussing, what happened?

WB is not a good representation of the people you will meet on the trail. i bet you will have a better time then '92. your older. you can appreciate things more. especially elevation gains :)

DS...thanks for the interesting thread while it lasted, and I bet there's not one poster you wouldn't enjoy hiking with even though they might drink, smoke, make calls, snore and fart. I'm against 4 of 5 mentioned but have no trouble adjusting. I'm now going to go over to the HBcafe and start a fight to liven things up there.
