I know this may be the wrong spot to post but am about to enter n.y. and have heard horror stories about the water sources. Anyone know how things are flowing. I'm in kent, ct and will be heading south

I was in Harriman State Park during Labor Day weekend and things were quite dry. Not only were a lot of the streams dried up but the water level in the lakes and reservoirs was visiblly lower than they usually are.

+ 1 on labor day weekend report (I did Stormville to Harriman). You probably don't want to drink much of the flowing water in NY anyway, unless it is flowing from a well, spigot, or deli. Water available at Stormville (deli/pizza), RPH shelter (recommended treat), Dennyville Rd. (spigot on building), Fahnestock State Park (North End of lake, store open then, not sure now), Graymoor, deli just past Graymoor, Bear Mountain State Park.
