Hey y'all,

I have an Ultralite Backpacker ASYM Zip for sale. It comes with the larger rain tarp, tree huggers & snakeskins. I'd be willing to let it go for $250 (shipping included)... It's worth about $350 with the upgrade to the larger tarp.

I had some gear stolen and am looking to sell this backup shelter to buy a new pack. Let me know if you're interested.

Best,
JP

I have used a similar setup for multiple sections hikes. The ability to setup camp almost everywhere...plus being able to really see and hear the wildlife makes this a great way to backpack!

WalksInDark,

I totally agree. It really is a super adaptable setup. I used a Thermarest Solar pad, a 9 oz StoS liner (adds 10 degrees supposedly), and 17 oz GoLite down quilt (rated to 45 degrees) and could use the traditional hammock & tarp set up down to 35 degrees without feeling chilled. I'd also be able to set up the tarp on the ground with my trekking poles in case I was in an area without good trees (doesn't happen often in Vermont, but it's good to have the option), or use the thick Thermarest and cowboy camp....

I'm only selling because I recently had a trailhead burglary and need to replace some more urgently needed gear. This really is a great shelter and the Hennessey folks are as great as their products. I hope it finds a happy home!
