Any one ever try the Outdoor Research Storm Tracker Gloves for trail hiking?

I like these gloves, but I'm also looking for something that could be waterproof to shed rain, etc.
Would these be enough in a rain situation? Is there a waterproof liner out there I could wear inside something like these gloves, or should I try something a little different?
I guess I'm looking for a good waterproof warm but able to still carry the hiking poles without too much problems...will be hiking down to 30 deg F or so...
Thanks a ton.
