Has anyone recently hiked the Black Forest Trail??? What did you think :-?..How would it be in Early/Mid October??? Also, Starting point recommendation (clockwise or counter-clockwise)... Thanks...

It's beautiful mid-late October when the leaves are turning, but the water crossings could be cold. I haven't hiked there recently, and when we did it we did it mostly as dayhikes. There are a lot of good cross trails that make short loops possible.

There are several threads on the Black Forest Trail in the "Other Trails" forum. I suggest you visit that forum and do a search. You may want to ask the mods to move this thread out of "General" to "Other Trails."
