Go Sobo. :)
Monkeywrench, all the best to you!!! -- If you enjoyed 2009 (a rain soaked year), you would have loved 2012. Some thruhikers could count the number of rain days on one hand.

Thanks everybody. Right now I'm trying to finagle three days in a row open on my calendar so I can do a quick little loop hike before the wonderful fall weather melts into cold and grey. Another thru-hike is a distant dream.

I would've taken the rain over the heat any day!
Sure do miss the trail though...

Hell's bells Jeff, I darned near drowned the day I left your place in the pouring rain and made the mistake of trying to hike Bromley without a boat!
In '09 there were times when you couldn't count the rain days in a week on one hand, but I still had a blast.

Well the natural progression would suggest that the PCT needs to be next! And I can absolutely not wait until my thru next April!

I'd love to thru-hike the PCT, and I have the germ of a plan to try it in 2019 (10 years after my AT thru), but even mentioning such a thing to my wife could cause great marital disharmony.
