Tray Mountain Road

Trying to get to Tray Mountain Gap by ordinary car.

Some friends just informed me that Indian Grave Gap road (from Unicoi Turnpike) is not passable due to wash outs.

Can anyone provide information on how likely the approach from Chimney Mountain Road (north on Tray Mountain Road) to Tray Mountain Gap will be passable for ordinary cars?

I stayed in a cabin at the bottom of Chimney Mountain Road in November 2010, and tried to take my truck up the road. Chimney Mtn Road was very iffy even with high clearance 4x4. The road is no more than 1 vehicle wide in most places. Very rocky and steep in places. The area were Chinquapin Branch crosses was just a mud pit for about 50 yards over a steep embankment.
