Not a dime to them or the AMC. Most of the money goes to salaries and not to the AT. If you want to REALLY help the trail, cut out the middle men, and donate directly to your LOCAL TRAIL CLUB minus the AMC.

I could not possibly agree more. They raise money to pay people to raise money. It's all about salaries and fringes for professional staff and mission creep far beyond the trail. Good jobs with good wages. Donate to the Green Mountain Club (local Chapter) in VT and the Randolph Mountain Club in NH
