This will be used on a through hike of the AT. I like the Trekker for its space, ability to set up with or without insert, and the many tarp options. I like the Tarptent for its weight, the tarp tent is also large, and ability to buy it with or without a floor (I like the floor). Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

If you are going by yourself, you probably just want to carry the Virga. I like the tarptent designs much better than the trekker.
You might also want to investigate a flat tarp and a separate bivy / bug bivy of some sort. That combination is about as light as you can go.
