The Army is new working on "Gourmet MRE's" that have less fat in them and taste better than before. If you could, what gourmet meal would you like if they came available to the public?
my gourmet meal would be bacon center covered with peanut butter with a chocolate casing, and over that a deep fried exterior for that kfc crunch. all the food groups for a hiker: calories, carbs, fat and flavor.

seared portabello mushroom for starter, filet mignon with steamed vegtables for the main course with part of a baguette and Cabernet Sauvignon for the main course. New York cheesekate with a choice of sauces and cappuchino or latte for desert.
for breakfasts cappuchino, lox with trimmings and eggs benedict.
ok so this is a joke and a bit rediculous, but one day I will eat each of these things while backpacking. I already have had the lox, baguette, and cabernet in the woods. Hopefully one day I can have them all in the same meal.
