Met three southbounders yesterday in the Mt Rogers area, maybe 2 days from Damascus. Didn't ask their names, but they all looked happy.

At least 10 Southbounders in Damascus as of this morning and they say there are plenty that aren't here yet.

I met Bebop and Rock Steady in Connecticut last week just south of the Bear Mountain summit. They had started in Georgia in May and flip-flopped to Katahdin at DWG, I think, and were trying to complete their hike by Thanksgiving.

I did a NB section from VA 613 (Mountain Lake) to Daleville week before last and met a lot of Sobo thru's. Was told that there is a record number of SB's this year. Some of the thru hikers that I met were: Dennis McC, Stilts, Misrey, Turtlebox, Voice of Reason, Desert Lock and Silver Surfer.

Didn't notice it. it was almost dark when I first saw him and then was totally dark later at the shelter.

I ran into two SOBOs at the Raven Rock shelter in Maryland on Friday night. They started in Maine in September and were heading towards Georgia at a rapid pace.

Thanks for the shout outs guys. The uke made it the northern 1200 miles but I went into ultralight mode for the southern 1000. Finished my thru-hike on October 28th right as the weather took a huge turn. I'm very thankful to have avoided all that snow in the smokies. It was great to meet you both.

Spent the night of Nov. 3 at the Graymoor ballfield with 1 thru.
Never did ask his name but he was going to be finishing his flip flop hike at Port Clinton.
Said he's been on the trail for 8 months.
