Advice on good foods to pack? any favorites?
Most people just gather berries and nuts as they go along the trail. You can also hunt and trap squirrels and rabbits and cook them over the fire.
Hostess pies, Twinkies, and Snickers.
Anything that you can eat, tastes good and you won't get sick from eating it for months on end. Foods not to overload on.... Oatmeal, trail mix, couscous, rice and all the other foods that hikers pack out and leave in the hiker barrels.

You can also pell back the bark of pine tree's and eat the inner cambian layer by frying them on a open fire which is called pine chips. or how about worms i heard they where pretty good.

If you gain about 120 lbs of fat, you can go without eating.
