Can anyone tell me the phone number for this place? Also, is it within walking distance of the trail or will I have to hitch a ride to the hostel? Thanks so much for all your help. Also, do you know how far it is from Fontana Dam? or from Erwin? Thanks. LJ

I don't have the phone number.

From Fontanna to Dennis Cove: 246.0 miles

From Erwin to Dennis Cove: 70.6 miles

Once you hit Dennis Cove, Kincora is 0.4 miles to the left if you are a northbounder. You would probably walk there before you got a 5 minute ride by hitching.

First the # for the Kincora is #423-725-4409, you find most phone numbers and addresses @ www.aldha.org (http://www.aldha.org) , click on the online companion, then click on the desired state or states.

Although a lot of people use this and never buy the hard copy, if you are going to thru hike over section hike the whole trail. I recommend purchasing a hard copy of this and the data book at www.appalachiantrail.org (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/) . They can use the little profit they get off the books for securing these trails.

Please, do not take this the wrong way, I just promote the purchase of this item to keep it free on the internet, because if sales drop to much from over use of the free copy, they may remove from the internet copy. Plus when planning your thru hike is easier to have both hard copies in front of you, to do your logistical planning.

By the way the Kincora, is a great place and so the owners Bob & Pat Peoples. I highly recommend staying there and Sgt. Rock, is right hitching is not required it is not more than 5 or 10 minute walk.

You might wanna double-check that URL. It's wrong.

Ahhhhh.... should be dot-org, not dot-com. Now it works.
