It's snowing here in CO, and I feel a need to liven things up. So I thought I'd ask: when you're out on the trail, what's the one snack, dish, and drink that you MUST have, in order for you to feel complete?

I'll get it started--

Snack: raw coconut butter
Dish: black bean stew with red pepper and homemade jerky
Drink: instant espresso

What say you?

Lets see!

Oh I'm excited just thinking about my time on the trail again.

Snack: Ready for it??? A can of condensed milk. Don't laugh, but I probably had one once a week on the trail from GA to HF. It packs a super strong punch and I have a BIG sweet tooth. One can has about 1300 calories and 50g of protein. And to make it interesting, I'd add crushed cookies! BAM!

Dish: The best dish I had was when a guy fishing for trout caught a nice size Rainbow trout and asked me if I wanted it... AWESOME! But the dish I must have to feel complete would simply be any decent rice concoction. I love rice!

Drink: I didn't pack any hot chocolate or stuff like that on my 70 day hike, but after a while as you all know, water gets SUPER boring so buying Tang mix was a real treat for me.

:D
