I will be hiking this section starting 11/17 thru 11/20. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Hum.... I don't know of any particular problems you would have with the trail on that section. I really wonder about blow downs on any section of the trail. This crazy weather we have had this year with the strong wind makes you wonder.............
I finished this section last week and there was some blow down. Most problem area was where the Rhododendron was pushed down and low, made it tough in a few spots.

Easy hiking, this is the section where I got shin-splints on my thru-hike. Don't remember too much else about it.
I don't know about easy. It was a little more challenging than Bland to Pearisburg or Damascus to Atkins. More climbing up and overs. A few steep up and downs to make the knees and calves hurt. Short days made it tough to get any more than 15 miles a day for us. Are last day was 18 miles and the last 2 were in the dark.
