I enjoyed a quick overnight this weekend on the PT, brought some beginners along. This is an easy and diverse trail, with many forest types. Weather was great, but it got cold at night. Had a great campsite along Choke Creek.

Is the starting point for the north loop and the south loop the same? If its different, where is the location of both and thank you.

Best to park at Tannery Rd and SR 2016. Space for about 5 cars. Best camping at Choke Creek and Butler Run.

Sorry, the above post was for the south loop.

For the north loop, park at the main trailhead, marked by a "P" along SR 2016 on the above map.
