this is my favorite hammock pad,purchased from walmart $14.99 trimmed down to 24x40inch,1/8inch yellow closed cell,3/4inch open cell foam on other,it now wieghs 10.5 oz,i works great,no slipping,no sweating,no freezing my butt off,also serves as frame for my pack:cool: neo

in the camping section at walmart,i chose this pad for width 24 inches,it is 72 inches long,i cut it down to 40 inches long,i roll it into a cylinder and shove it in my pack,i store every thing in the center of pad in my pack,40 inches covers from my shoulders to a few inches below my knee,s:cool: neo

Another elegant pad solution just put on the market is the Speer SPE (Segmented Pad Extender)

It did look nice. I was admiring it at Trail Days. I once made something like that, but it involved duct tape and string, and wan't as easy to get apart.
