Since it is not mentioned, I suppose that you do not have a website, but I wish that you did. Is this five miles towards Bryson City? Please tell us more.--Kinnickinic

Yes Salaun, 5 miles from the AT where it crosses the Nantahala river towards the direction of town of Bryson City. We would also most probably be going into town if you needed to stock up on anything.

Oh man, between Aquone Cabins/Hostel (a days hike back) and you, there are going to be a whole lot of spoiled thrus next year. They are in a rude awakening when they hit Stecoah, Shuckstack, and the Smokies...

Yeah man, great place to rest weary bones in the hot tub, grab some gourmet cookin, wash n dry your gear and drink a craft beer or two.

I definitely would have stopped there if you were open a couple months ago. You might also want to offer a pick-up/slackpack to Stecoah Gap as well for those (like me) who prefer to sleep off trail when convenient. Lots of options between Franklin (Rock Gap) and Fontana now, can almost hike from "hut-to-hut".

Best of luck on the new business.

What no Bunkhouse? What are you going to do when you got 20 Thru-Hikers show up at your place at the same time ask them to set up their tents.

If 20 thru-hikers showed up at my door uninvited I'd tell to to get lost.

But your not running a hostel. The first post is an open invintation to all, says nothing about reservations. Something they best think about before 20 a day for a month or two do show up at thier door.

There's no address but an email and a phone number for a shuttle, so if anyone shows up at the door, they're uninvited. She also mentions 2 bedrooms and rates from 1-3 hikers.

That's Right Sly, I'm the owner, "dancinbear", I can only host up to 3 per night. It's by reservation only and 5 miles from the NOC, that's why I do the free shuttle back and forth. There won't be numerous thru hikers showin up at the door......Thrus shoot me an email or call 828-421-6583 a day or 2 in advance and I let them know if there will be a spot available.

It sounds like you need to contact the Appalachian Trail Conservancy to let them know that you exist for your business exposure in the hiking community. Their phone number in Harpers Ferry is 304-535-6331.

Oops, they never did make it into the Companion. I wonder if they're still open?
