I plan on hitting the trail on 3/1/13. Into my second week of training. So far so good, 7 miles with a 30 pound pack. Planning on getting a 12 mile day in by the end of this week. Every day I go out the Lord blesses me with more confidence, I simply know that this is the right thing for me to be doing at this stage of life. The lessons I learn from the trail, and from those who are on the trail will serve me well until the end of my days.

Did 8 miles yesterday 35 pounds, only two miles today. Was a little under dressed for the single digit MN temps this morning. Discovered the limits of my ultra light shoes. At 14 degrees I was fine, I will try using some better socks, and see if I can push the limits of my shoes further. What are the temps at Springer early March?
I have to say, with my experience on WB, I was expecting to find some sarcastic comments, but was very pleasantly surprised to find none. God Bless us every one!
Son Driven, temps at Springer can vary from the 60s to the teens, it just depends on what day... be ready with layers
