Hello,
I have section hiked from Springer to Damascus this past summer and am looking to pick up in Damascus after trail days. Of course, I am wanting to be in Damascus during trail days but I am finding it difficult to get a ride into Damascus. I will be coming from Knoxville, TN and I have not been able to find a bus service such as Greyhound or anything like that which goes to Damascus. I know that I can take the Greyhound to Bristol, VA, but from there I do not have a way besides the old fashioned way of hitching.
I am hoping that trail days, since it is such a big event, will have buses running into town all week. Are there any buses going from any towns nearby to Damascus? I would greatly appreciate any help that you can offer me and hopefully I will see you during trails.
