I'm resupplying in Cave Springs GA and Dalton GA off the Pinhoti Trail. Are there outfitters in either town where I can purchase isobutane canisters? Possibly small(4 oz) ones? Don't want to stray too far from either town.
Thanks.

As you leave Dalton you'll see a Walmart. The one here in Erwin has Coleman isobutane canisters - I would guess the one in Dalton does too.

You will pass a K-Mart in Dalton quite a bit before the Walmart. Both are on Hwy 52 on your path.

No canisters in Cave Springs. In Dalton Walmart is way off trail and K mart did not have them. But there is a full service outfitter in Dalton now called RAK Outfitter right on the trail in the same mall as Kroger supermarket.

I hiked down Highway 76 from Dalton to Chatsworth which took me right by the Walmart.

I believe this way is shorter and Highway 76 also has a good shoulder to walk on and passes many convenience stores.

Once you get close to Chatsworth there are sidewalks in and out of town. After you leave Chatsworth you're only on hwy 411for a couple of miles and it also has a nice shoulder to walk on.
