slapstrap watch for beer can pot holder?

I've been carrying a cut-off thumb and finger of a heat resistant glove to pick up my beer can pot. Yesterday I noticed my niece had a silicone slapstrap watch and wondered if it wouldn't be a good multi-use piece of gear if you like to wear a watch anyway... just bought a
Black Fancy Slap Watch Teen or Adult Sized by Slapemfrom Amazon prime for a whooping $5.95 to find out. Looks like it'll pick up a pot... AND keep time.

So who tried this already? should i have bought the white or the blue one instead of the black?

i bought a round, silicone jar opener from my local grocery store (Publix) for $1.99 and just cut it down a bit. it could be even smaller if i were to obsess about the weight, but at 1.6oz and big enough for a five-fingered grip it's perfect.
