Does anybody have any type of comprehensive list or some suggestions as to the location of internet access along the trail (northern half). I may need to get my email once a week or every ten days, suggestions?

Last time I was out, I bothered only once, but this time may need to be more consistent in checking in......

I could probably sit here and try to remember some of them, but I would probably miss a lot. Aside from the fact that a lot of the places are a little off of the trail, as a lot of Libraries are tucked away in a town. If it is a must to hit the email at least once a week, PocketMail is probably your best solution. www.pocketmail.com

Details about Internet access at AT hostels, cyber cafes, and town libraries are listed in the ALDHA Companion. You order the Thru-Hikers' Companion from the ATC website at www.appalachiantrail.org (http://www.appalachiantrail.org) or view it for free on the ALDHA website www.ALDHA.org (http://www.ALDHA.org).
