Does anyone know of any websites where one could view average temperatures or rainfall on a certain day on various points of the AT?

There is, of course, weather.com, but this typically is for cities and towns. I'm looking for something that would be in the mountains, usually several degrees cooler and often with different weather patterns.

Thanks!

There is a good one out there called Whiteblaze.com. That's right. Right now look at the top bar of this very page. Click on odds and ends....weather....lets pick the top one suches ga. then scroll down to weather history...the bottom choice is average temps for the entire year. All the places on the list are on the AT.

That is a nice tool right hear on WB, thanks.

But the OP asked about finding weather conditions for the trail, rather thin in towns. The sites listed are in towns very close to the trail, but if the trail is at an elevation much higher than the town the weather can be a lot different. Also, they really list the weather at the reporting station closest to the town, which may be some distance away. For example, if you go to the Weather Underground web site where this data comes from and go to the Erwin TN page, you see that they are really reporting data for the station closest to Erwin which is in Telford.
