I just thought I would share to you all what I did to achieve a very light weight bag and not be restricted by a tight fitting mummy bag.
I move around a lot in my sleep and I was looking for a regular shaped sleeping bag, all the ones I found I thought were pretty heavy.
I was looking at a quilt from zpacks and I thought that it looked like it would be a perfect sleeping bag for me if it had a zipper (I just like bags over quilts). I contacted them and they said it was no problem. I received it a few days ago and let me tell you, I love it! It's the perfect bag for me because It's like the size of a regular rectangular bag and It only weighs 22.4oz for the 30* medium.
Now I know that this option was not cheap but I did end up with exactly what I was looking for, A very high quality, light weight, very roomy bag. Now I can't wait to use It!

I wound up buying a BA Horse Thief 35 .... I can't stand my head covered, and I can sleep in a toboggan if needed. I never thought of this.... But, unfortunately I have already dropped the $ on the BA..l And I have to say , at 6'5 225 lbs.... I fits pretty dang well. One thing I do like about the BIg Agnes is the way the pad fits in the bag sleeve... I will never again roll off my pad.... I'm glad you found what you wanted .. I wish I would have known a couple of years ago....hahahahahahahah...enjoy...
